Football Recap: Houston Christian Comes Up Short

Houston Christian was the 21-12 winner over Trinity Valley when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs lost 45-21 to the Trojans on Friday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Houston Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Trinity Valley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houston Christian will welcome Tomball Christian HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Trinity Valley, they will square off against Oakridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Owls have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
