Basketball Recap: Riverside Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Riverside waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 57-46 win over the Madison Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-61 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Cupples, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards. Cupples has become a key player for Riverside: the team is 8-4 when he posts at least ten rebounds, but 6-7 otherwise. Landon Swindle was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 17 points.

Riverside's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points over those games. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Riverside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-43 defeat against Scotts Hill on the 7th. Madison has also already played their next game (against Liberty Tech Magnet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
