Football Recap: Dayton Christian Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Dayton Christian kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost to the Miami East Vikings on the road by a 37-20 margin. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Several WARRIORS players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caden Shepherd, who picked up 76 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Dayton Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Shepherd.

Looking ahead, Dayton Christian will host Bethel-Tate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Miami East, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
