Basketball Recap: Forsyth Country Day Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Forsyth Country Day lost against West Forsyth back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Furies took a 46-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. The matchup marked the Furies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Forsyth Country Day lost, don't look at Gigi Lyons. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points. The contest was Lyons' ninth in a row with at least 15 points. Lila Kelly was another key player, putting up seven points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Forsyth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laila Jones, who went 5-for-10 en route to 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Jones is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Armani Hyde, who shot 55% from the field to rack up 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Forsyth Country Day and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for West Forsyth, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forsyth Country Day will face off against Atkins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Forsyth, they will take on Mount Tabor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
