Football Game Preview: Kamehameha Maui Warriors vs. Lahainaluna Lunas

Kamehameha Maui is 2-8 against Lahainaluna since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Warriors will host the Lunas at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Kamehameha Maui's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They blew past Maui, posting a 43-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Meanwhile, Lahainaluna really took it to Maui for the full four quarters, racking up a 35-7 victory. The Lunas pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Sabers had little chance of recovering from.

The win got Lahainaluna back to even at 4-4. As for Kamehameha Maui, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Everything came up roses for Kamehameha Maui against Lahainaluna when the teams last played back in September, as the squad secured a 36-0 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Lunas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
