Soccer Recap: Atascocita Takes a Loss

After flying high against King last Friday, Atascocita came back down to earth. The Atascocita Eagles fell 2-0 to the Summer Creek Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Atascocita's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Summer Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Atascocita and Summer Creek should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Atascocita (ranked 85th) will meet Humble (ranked 651st) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average, (Atascocita: 0.4, Summer Creek: 0.3) so any goals scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Summer Creek will challenge King at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday up 455 places (84 vs. 539). Atascocita will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
