Softball Recap: Ligonier Valley Comes Up Short

If Ligonier Valley was riding high fresh off their 12-5 takedown of Deer Lakes last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell 6-2 to the Mt. Pleasant Vikings on Wednesday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Ligonier Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mt. Pleasant, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

While Ligonier Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
