Basketball Recap: Coral Shores Comes Up Short

Coral Shores lost against Goleman back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Coral Shores Hurricanes lost 71-50 to the Goleman Gators.

Franki Sosa was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds for Goleman. The match was Sosa's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Frudrias Porter was another key player, putting up 12 points along with six boards and three steals.

Coral Shores has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Goleman, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

Coral Shores won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against MAST Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Coral Shores is facing MAST Academy at the right time seeing as MAST Academy is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Goleman, they are taking a road trip to take on Marathon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Goleman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season.
