Volleyball Game Preview: Alhambra Lions vs. Central Bobcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Alhambra Lions face off against Central Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alhambra is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Alhambra saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dobson.

Meanwhile, Central didn't have quite enough to beat North on Monday and fell 3-2.

Central started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 22-25, 25-24, 25-21, 19-17.

Alhambra's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Central, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Alhambra beat Central 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Alhambra repeat their success, or does Central has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
