Baseball Preview: Westminster Wolves vs. Lincoln Lancers        
        
		
            
 Westminster has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will  challenge the Lincoln Lancers at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Westminster is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2  runs per game  this season.
 Things were looking good for Westminster after they put the first points on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took  a  5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Widefield. Westminster has not had much luck with Widefield recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
  Robert Atencio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up eight Ks.
 At the plate,  Luis Mujica was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.  Micheal Davidson was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Lincoln was able to grind out a solid  victory over Gateway on Monday, taking the game  7-4. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Lincoln.
 Westminster now  has a losing record at 6-7. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 5-8 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Westminster skirted past Lincoln  6-4 when the teams last played  back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westminster since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
