Basketball Game Preview: Groves Rebels vs. Ware County Gators

The Groves Rebels will head out on the road to take on the Ware County Gators at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ware County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Groves, who comes in off a win.

Groves will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Johnson, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rebels blew past the Atomsmashers 68-22 on Tuesday. That looming 68-22 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rebels yet this season.

Aniyah Wright had another great game (as she tends to do), putting up 33 points. The matchup was her sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Daphney Detty was another key player, earning 11 points.

Meanwhile, Ware County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 59-54 to Appling County. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ware County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Groves, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
