Volleyball Recap: Summit Academy Comes Up Short

If Summit Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Ben Lomond last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears fell 3-1 to the Providence Hall Patriots on Tuesday. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-22, 20-25, 25-21.

Summit Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Providence Hall, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Summit Academy will square off against Taylorsville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Providence Hall, they will head out to challenge Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
