Volleyball Recap: Cairo Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Cairo unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Egyptian Pharaohs on Wednesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 18 in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13.

Egyptian's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cairo is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Joppa-Maple Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Egyptian, they will take on Meridian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
