Soccer Game Preview: Salina Central vs. Eisenhower + How To Watch

Salina Central is 0-9 against Eisenhower since March of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Tigers. Salina Central has given up an average of 5.8 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Salina Central's offense. They lost 8-0 to Andover on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Salina Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Andover are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Eisenhower came tearing into Thursday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. Eisenhower's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Eisenhower's win bumped their record up to 11-1-1. As for Salina Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1.

Salina Central suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Eisenhower when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
