Soccer Game Preview: Monarch vs. George Washington

The Monarch Coyotes will venture away from home to face off against the George Washington Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Monarch lost 4-1 to Horizon on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Monarch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Horizon are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, George Washington's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against Northfield, falling 4-0. George Washington have struggled against Northfield recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Monarch now has a losing record of 5-6. As for George Washington, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.
