Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-1 to Miller City. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Jefferson of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Jefferson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Gossett, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Miller City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbus Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Miller City, they will venture away from home to take on Cory-Rawson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
