Basketball Game Preview: StoneBridge Cavaliers vs. Summit Christian Academy Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the StoneBridge Cavaliers will jump right back in to play the Summit Christian Academy Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

StoneBridge had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against Hampton Christian Academy on Friday, falling 69-48.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Summit Christian Academy and Walsingham Academy, and Walsingham Academy kept the tradition alive. The Eagles had to suffer through a 71-38 loss at the hands of the Trojans. The Eagles have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

StoneBridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Summit Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2015, winning 77-70. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Eagles' T.J. Lawrence, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten assists.
