Football Recap: Robbinsville Comes Up Short

Robbinsville played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs 59-21. The Ravens were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-13.

Robbinsville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gavin Yablonowitz, who threw for 263 yards and a pair of TDs.

Grayson Vlasac was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Those 92 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

Robbinsville dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hopewell Valley Central, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Robbinsville and Hopewell Valley Central will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Ravens are set to challenge their familiar foe West Windsor-Plainsboro North/West Windsor-Plainsboro South on Friday. Meanwhile, Hopewell Valley Central will square off against rival Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
