Baseball Game Preview: Argos Dragons vs. Caston Comets

Argos hasn't had much luck against Caston recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Dragons will venture away from home to challenge the Comets at 5:00 p.m. Argos has given up an average of 15.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Argos is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 21st straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Winamac, falling 21-1.

Meanwhile, Caston unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 15-5 to Manchester. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Eli Holloway made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Logan Mollenkopf also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Caston's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Argos, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Argos might still be hurting after the 20-5 loss they got from Caston when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
