Softball Recap: Seward Park Drops Season-High Score on Laguardia

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seward Park). They blew past Laguardia 24-5 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win was the fourth in a row for Seward Park, bringing their record up to 6-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for Laguardia, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seward Park will head out to take on Health Profession at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Health Profession has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.73 runs per game on average), something Seward Park will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Laguardia, they will head out on the road to challenge Art & Design at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
