California is 0-9 against Monessen since April of 2015 but things could change on Friday. California will look to defend their home field against Monessen at 4:30 p.m. California is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Last Wednesday, California beat Bethlehem Center 8-3. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Gabbi Luncinski made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Luncinski was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Kayla Saeli was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Aubrey Dearinger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Grace Clingenpeel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.
Monessen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for California, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
