Softball Recap: Park Tudor Panthers vs. Pike Red Devils
Park Tudor had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-6 to make it five. They lost 35-17 to the Pike Red Devils. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Red Devils from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.
As for Pike, they moved to 6-15 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
For Pike's part, they let Anabelle Posada and Ariel Hutchinson run wild. Posada went 4-for-6 with five runs, seven RBI, and two stolen bases, while Hutchinson got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those five runs gave Posada a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Tandy, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park Tudor will welcome Liberty Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pike, they will be playing at home against Southport at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
