Soccer Recap: Eagle Mountain Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Eagle Mountain's offense. They came up short against the Lake Dallas Falcons on Friday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 686th, while the Falcons are ranked 174th).

Eagle Mountain's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-7-2. As for Lake Dallas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle Mountain will venture away from home to challenge Lake Worth at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Worth's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lake Dallas, they will take on Castleberry at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Castleberry comes in on five and Lake Dallas on four.
