Manteno has gone 9-1 against Streator recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will square off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Manteno has three straight wins, Streator has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Streator's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Monday: Manteno hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Clifton Central on Wednesday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Streator fell victim to Seneca and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Fighting Irish, falling 14-0.

Manteno's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Streator, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Manteno took their victory against Streator in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-2 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
