Baseball Recap: St. Edward Takes a Loss

St. Edward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons.

Mathew Morrice made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Lombardo, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

St. Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Edward will venture away from home to square off against Harvest Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against Chicago Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
