Alexander Quezada put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Thursday. He struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Quezada and Gustine will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stone Ridge Christian at 4:00 p.m. on May 1. The Reds got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Knights thanks in part to Quezada: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
