Baseball Game Preview: Laughlin Cougars vs. Beaver Dam Diamondback

Laughlin is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Beaver Dam a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Laughlin Cougars will be playing at home against the Beaver Dam Diamondback at 1:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Laughlin didn't have quite enough to beat Indian Springs and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, Beaver Dam might've scored the first runs last Friday, but it was Beatty who claimed the real prize. The Diamondback lost 15-8 to the Hornets.

Miguel Jauregui made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruger Holcomb, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

Laughlin's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Beaver Dam, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Laughlin came up short against Beaver Dam when the teams last played back in March of 2015, falling 9-6. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
