Volleyball Game Preview: Valley Oaks CES Vanguards vs. Bert Corona Charter Knights

The Valley Oaks CES Vanguards will face off against the Bert Corona Charter Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Valley Oaks CES came up short against Community Charter on Monday, falling 3-0. The Vanguards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Community Charter scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Bert Corona Charter came into Tuesday's match having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against CHAMPS on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Knights not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 8th (when they won 3-0).

Bert Corona Charter walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 25-19.

Valley Oaks CES now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Bert Corona Charter, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 3-11.

Everything went Valley Oaks CES' way against Bert Corona Charter in their previous meeting back in September, as Valley Oaks CES made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Vanguards repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
