Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Layla Mapp and Karly Glahn Lead Ardrey Kell to Victory

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Ardrey Kell's strategy against Olympic on Tuesday. The Ardrey Kell Knights strolled past the Olympic Trojans with points to spare, taking the game 43-25. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Ardrey Kell was led to victory by Karly Glahn and Layla Mapp. Glahn posted 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals, while Mapp went 6 for 14 en route to 15 points along with six boards and six steals. Mapp has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Bryson Mccoy was another key player, putting up three points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Chaya James and Barri Terry certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. James went 5 of 10 on her way to 10 points along with six boards and three blocks, while Terry had nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

The win got Ardrey Kell back to even at 7-7. As for Olympic, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10.

Ardrey Kell has already played their next match, a 54-33 victory against Palisades on the 17th. As for Olympic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-32 win against Berry on the 17th.
