The Paoli Rams will square off against the South Central Rebels at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Paoli's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so South Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Paoli proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Evansville Christian 2-1.

Paoli saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Hannon, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Hannon has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, South Central came into Wednesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Clarksville on Wednesday.
Camden Kiper made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because South Central is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Kiper was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Garrett Wilson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.
South Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Paoli, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Paoli has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like South Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Paoli suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to South Central when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
