Volleyball Recap: Herron Wins Going Away Against Purdue Polytechnic

Herron won the last time they faced Purdue Polytechnic and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Achaeans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Techies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Achaeans.

Herron was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-17.

Leo Lusk paced Herron's offense, picking up ten kills. Lusk got some help from Andy Beck and his nine assists. Beck was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Herron's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Herron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Beech Grove on the 17th. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Providence Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on May 5.
