Baseball Game Preview: Chittenango Bears vs. Mexico Tigers

For the second straight game, Chittenango will face off against Mexico. The Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chittenango is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Chittenango's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Mexico.

Not much got past Alex Pappas, who gave up just three hits to keep Mexico off the board. Pappas has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Elijah Lefort was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Chittenango's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Mexico, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
