Football Recap: Griffith Skates Past Calumet New Tech with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Griffith). They claimed a resounding 63-14 victory over the Calumet New Tech Warriors. Considering the Panthers have won seven contests by more than 35 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Although Calumet New Tech took the loss, they still got scores from Bryce Brandon and Treyvon Brown.

The win (which was Griffith's fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.2 points on average over those games. As for Calumet New Tech, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.

Griffith has already played their next game, a 34-10 win against Wheeler on the 17th. As for Calumet New Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 36-0 loss against Gary West Side on the 17th.
