Softball Recap: Grant County Comes Up Short

Grant County blew Ryle out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Ryle got their revenge. The Braves fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-0. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Grant County and nudges their season record down to 6-8-1. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Ryle, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grant County will welcome Dixie Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ryle, they will challenge Bracken County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
