Baseball Recap: Bartlett Comes Up Short

Lexington hit Bartlett with a eight-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 11-1 to the Eagles. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2025.

Bartlett's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lexington, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bartlett will head out to challenge Thorndale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lexington, they will face off against Rockdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
