Baseball Game Preview: Susquehanna Sabers vs. Mountain View Eagles

Susquehanna hasn't had much luck against Mountain View recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Sabers will challenge the Eagles at 11:00 a.m.

Susquehanna is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season back in April. They came up short against Mountain View, falling 13-2.

For Mountain View's part, Josh Miller made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Miller was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season.

In other batting news, Jackson Gesford was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Norton, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Mountain View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Susquehanna, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
