Softball Game Preview: Aberdeen Eagles vs. City College Black Knights

The Aberdeen Eagles will square off against the City College Black Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aberdeen comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Aberdeen fell victim to Edgewood and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Rams, falling 20-0.

Joppatowne hit City College with a four-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Black Knights fell just short of the Mariners by a score of 9-7. The matchup marked the Black Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

City College saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Imani Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Lewis has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times she's played. Mackenzie Carter also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Aberdeen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for City College, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.
