Softball Recap: Vallivue Falcons vs. Nampa Bulldogs
Vallivue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 15-5 walloping at the hands of the Nampa Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Vallivue of the 11-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
Vallivue saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenley Leuthold, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
On Nampa's side, Haylee Holloway made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Holloway has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Holloway was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

As for Nampa, they will head out on the road to take on Kuna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nampa is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 12.4 runs per game this season.
