Basketball Game Preview: Lackey Chargers vs. Patuxent Panthers

The Lackey Chargers will face off against the Patuxent Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses apiece.

Last Monday, Lackey was beaten by North Point 69-24. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Eagles are ranked 36th).

Meanwhile, Patuxent was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 39-33 to Calvert.

Lackey's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Patuxent, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Lackey came up short against Patuxent in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 39-28. Can Lackey avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
