Basketball Recap: Catholic Central's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Catholic Central was feeling good fresh off their 59-36 takedown of Bridgeport last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Catholic Central Crusaders fell just short of the Heartland Christian Lions by a score of 70-67 on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (59), the Crusaders still had to take the loss.

Catholic Central's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3. As for Heartland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Catholic Central will challenge Harrison Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Heartland Christian, they will take on Wellsville at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
