Preview: Penns Grove Red Devils vs. Pennsville Memorial Eagles
Penns Grove is 8-2 against Pennsville Memorial since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The two teams will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Penns Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Penns Grove was able to grind out a solid win over Schalick, taking the game 53-45. The win made it back-to-back wins for Penns Grove.
Penns Grove had a senior duo take command as Giomar Conrad scored 23 points along with two steals and Mekhi Ballard scored 19 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Pennsville Memorial pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-56 to Glassboro. Pennsville Memorial has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Penns Grove is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Pennsville Memorial, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Penns Grove was able to grind out a solid victory over Pennsville Memorial in their previous matchup back in January, winning 75-65. Does Penns Grove have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pennsville Memorial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
