Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Chris Williams and Ray Williams Lead Wellborn to Victory

Wellborn came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Ranburne Bulldogs 47-45. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Wellborn to victory were Ray Williams and Chris Williams. Ray went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points along with eight boards and four steals, while Chris went 6 of 13 on his way to 12 points and seven steals. Ray is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Liam Avery was another key player, putting up seven points.

Wellborn's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Ranburne, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wellborn Panthers duke it out with the Weaver Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ranburne, they will take on Ohatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
