Baseball Recap: Firebaugh Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for Firebaugh, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Strathmore Spartans 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since May 2, 2025.

Firebaugh saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was Miller's first of the season. Another was Jose Figueroa, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Firebaugh moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Strathmore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Firebaugh will welcome Madera South at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Strathmore, they will challenge Wonderful College Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
