Baseball Preview: Wewahitchka Gators vs. Malone Tigers

Wewahitchka and Malone are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2017, but likely not for long. The Wewahitchka Gators will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Malone Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Wewahitchka knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Malone likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Wewahitchka was able to grind out a solid victory over Vernon, taking the game 15-12. The Gators haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Walker Bailey made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.
