Baseball Game Preview: Morningside Monarchs vs. Culver City Centaurs

For the first time this season, Morningside will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will face off against the Culver City Centaurs at 3:15 p.m. Morningside has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Morningside is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Saddleback, falling 11-1.

Ramon Gonzalez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Four bases. while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Mota, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Culver City hadn't done well against West recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Culver City came out on top in a nail-biter against West, sneaking past 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Centaurs.

Morningside's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Culver City, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
