Soccer Recap: Martinsville Takes a Loss

Martinsville lost against Patrick County back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs lost 4-0 to the Cougars. Martinsville have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Martinsville's record now sits at 1-8-2. As for Patrick County, they moved to 4-6-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Martinsville will take on Bassett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Martinsville will be up against Bassett's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.3 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Patrick County, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Alleghany at 7:00 p.m. Patrick County is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Alleghany a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.
