Recap: Molina Jaguars vs. Richland Royals
If The Molina Jaguars were riding high off their 45-8 takedown of the Sunset Bison last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Molina was beaten by Richland 51-17 on Friday. Molina was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-3.
It was another big night for Michael Turner, who rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Turner is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Kates, who threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
Molina's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.4 points per game. As for Richland, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Molina does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Richland will be playing at home against Frisco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frisco is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
