Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Temple Christian had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Jeremiah Thirdkill did his part to make it six on Friday. Everything went the Temple Christian Eagles' way against the Trinity Valley Trojans as the Temple Christian Eagles made off with a 69-44 victory thanks in part to Thirdkill, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. He also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Temple Christian is 7-3 when he posts at least three steals, but 1-3 otherwise.

Grant Walker was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Temple Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.8 points. As for Trinity Valley, they moved to 11-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Temple Christian and Fort Worth THESA will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Temple Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season. As for Trinity Valley, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
