Pottsboro fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Muenster on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 6-5. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Cayden Humphreys was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run. Braedan Trissell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pottsboro's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Muenster, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-2 record this season.
