Volleyball Recap: Green Valley Gators vs. Mountain View Toros
Green Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View Toros. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Toros apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.
David Davila paced Green Valley's offense, picking up four kills. Davila got some help from Zechariah Nissley and his six assists.
Green Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Green Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Canyon Springs on the 18th. As for Mountain View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Foothill on the 18th.
